Seabourn to run ‘expedition month’ with agent incentive

Seabourn is encouraging agents to engage with its expedition month in June, with an Arctic sailing up for grabs for those taking part in the cruise line’s webinar series.

A 45-minute webinar will run every Tuesday at 9am for four weeks, covering key expedition destinations and a reflection on Seabourn Pursuit’s first year.

Agents can give themselves a chance of winning an Arctic sailing for two in summer 2025 by attending at least two webinars and making a Seabourn expedition booking between June 1 and August 31.

Lynn Narraway, Seabourn’s vice-president for the UK and EMEA, said the expedition month had been planned in response to agents’ demand for more training on the area.

In addition to the webinars, which begin on June 4, the cruise line will be producing newsletters covering selling skills and product. It will also create social media quizzes with prizes.

The first two webinars will be delivered by Robin West, Seabourn’s vice-president of expeditions, who will cover Antarctica on June 4, followed by warm-weather Pacific, Amazon and Kimberley expedition voyages on June 11.

The webinar on June 18 will be hosted by expedition specialist and ornithologist Danae Sheehan, who will cover Arctic sailings.

Narraway said: “At Clia’s first-ever Expedition Cruise Summit, which we were thrilled to host on May 12 on board Seabourn Venture in Greenwich, travel partners voiced their desire for more training on expedition destinations and product.

“In response to this, we have created this opportunity for them to learn live from our expedition experts.”

She added: “We urge travel partners to firstly visit and take our ‘Selling Seabourn’s Ultra-Luxury Expedition Travel by Ship’ module, which is the best introduction to selling ultra-luxury expeditions.”
