Samoa Tourism Authority capitalises on Rugby World Cup with trade event

The Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) is capitalising on the 2023 Rugby World Cup  to raise awareness of the destination among the travel trade and consumers.

Fifty agents and operators based in or around London have been invited to join Samoa Tourism to watch Samoa take on Argentina on Friday (September 22) at  Clubhouse 5, a new sports bar in Leicester Square.

The afternoon starts with a short destination update, followed by food and drink before the match starts at 4.45pm.

Those attending will also be in with a chance to win rugby jerseys and balls signed by Samoa’s national rugby team, Manu Samoa.

Samoa Tourism Authority in the UK spokesperson Alison Cryer said: “The Rugby World Cup is an excellent opportunity for us to not only support our beloved, Manu Samoa who are a long way from home and playing, but also to raise awareness of this beautiful country in France and the UK.

“The campaign is designed to be fun and informative, as well as encourage people to engage in the spirit of this great tournament.

“There is also the unique chance to win tickets to the England verses Samoa game in Lille which will no doubt be an unforgettable match no matter which team you support.”
