Rosewood announces further growth with four new Asian properties
Resorts has announced plans to open four new properties in Asia as it looks to double its global footprint in the next five years.
The brand will open two properties in China, one in the Philippines and another in India by 2024.
Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, said: "We intend to double the number of Rosewood hotels in the next five years, from our current 24 hotels in 15 countries, with a full one-third of new properties located in Asia.
The new Asia hotels join Rosewood's previously announced expansion which includes hotels in Chengdu, Yangon, Antigua and Houston.
The first will be Rosewood Shenzhen which will open in 2022 in China. The second Chinese property, Rosewood Shanghai, will open in 2024.
The Rosewood Hermana Mayor (pictured below) will be located on a private islands in the Philippines, located 10km from the mainland. It will open in 2023.
New World Jaipur Resort in India will be the brand's first opening in the country. It will also open its doors in 2023.
"China remains a priority and our entry into Shanghai and Shenzhen represents an important expansion of our footprint in Tier 1 cities."
