Oku Hotels to open family-focused property in Andalusia

Lifestyle hospitality brand Oku Hotels is set to grow its portfolio in summer 2024 with the addition of a new hotel in Andalusia, Spain.

Oku Andalusia will be located just outside Sotogrande, near the village of Alcaidesa, and will be the brand’s first hotel to cater to families.

The property will offer a mix of swim-up suites, penthouse rooms with large terraces, and two-bedroom suites for families and friends. The hotel will also have a private four-bedroom villa with an infinity pool, living area and terrace.

Each suite will capture the brand’s boho-chic, minimalistic style, with earthy-toned linens, natural materials, and contemporary lines.

Central areas will include three infinity pools set into the hillside; several restaurants, including Oku’s signature Mediterranean restaurant To Kima; a kids’ club and an adult-only beach club with a beachside outdoor pool, loungers, cabanas and sunset views.

A statement from Oku Hotels said the kids’ club and family-friendly pool areas would “bring something new” to the Oku portfolio “without compromising on style or atmosphere”.

There will also be an expansive hillside spa including an indoor pool, meditation garden, outdoor yoga shala, indoor yoga studio, state-of-the-art gym, steam room, sauna, and treatment rooms.

The property will also offer guests access to nearby golf courses, hiking trails and authentic Andalusian villages.

Oku Hotels said the new-build property would be the “ultimate beachside retreat for adventurous spirits looking for laidback luxury and soul enriching experiences”.

Oku Andalusia will be the third property in the Oku portfolio, joining Oku Ibiza and Oku Kos. Oku Hotels added that the brand would soon be going “global” with properties slated to open in the Maldives and the Middle East.
