Mandarin Oriental announces Mallorca property

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced it will manage a new beach resort in Mallorca.

The property, formerly H10 Punta Negra hotel, will open in the second half of 2024 in the southwest of the island on  Costa d’en Blanes. The hotel is currently undergoing significant reconstruction and redesign and will reopen as Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca.

The property will have 131 guest rooms including 44 suites and nine bungalows. The rooms and suites will have full or partial sea views, outdoor terraces or balconies, some of which offer private panoramic plunge pools.

Spread over three hectares, the resort features landscaped cliff tops and gardens cascading down to the sea.

The property’s spa includes an indoor swimming pool, while there will also be three additional outdoor pools across the grounds.

James Riley, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, said: “We are delighted at this opportunity to bring Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service to this extraordinary beachfront resort in the Balearics, and we look forward to collaborating with Blasson Property Investments to develop a luxury hotel that will be designed and constructed with a strong sustainability ethos.

“Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca will be a welcome complement to our hotels in Barcelona and Madrid and we are extremely pleased to be expanding Mandarin Oriental’s presence into another important leisure destination in Europe.”
