Auberge Resorts Collection is set to make its UK debut with the opening of a property in London in late 2025.
The hotel group has been appointed by Reuben Brothers to manage Cambridge House, the former In and Out Naval and Military Club in Mayfair, as part of the firm’s broader £1billion redevelopment of a 1.3-acre site on the Piccadilly Estate. The project is also set to include Shepherd Market and the residential development of One Carrington.
Cambridge House, Auberge Resorts Collection will have 102 rooms as well as a private members’ club.
The hotel will be spread across several historic properties, including a grade one-listed, Palladian-style townhouse commissioned by the second Earl of Egremont in 1756.
The hotel’s double-level, Roman bathhouse-inspired spa will feature hydrotherapy facilities, two heated swimming pools, seven treatment rooms and a circular relaxation lounge with a fire pit.
There will also be multiple dining options including a brasserie-style restaurant and an open-air courtyard venue. A statement from the brand said an “exciting culinary partnership” would be announced “in due course”.
Chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection, Dan Friedkin, said: “Reuben Brothers’ vision for Cambridge House is incredibly inspiring and we are honoured to have been chosen to usher this uniquely British property into its next chapter as a luxury hotel.
“Adding such an iconic Mayfair destination to our growing portfolio is also an exciting step forward in our focused expansion into Europe.”
Jamie Reuben, principal of Reuben Brothers, added: “Cambridge House is one of the most exciting projects my family and I have ever brought to fruition. Our vision for this special property is not just to offer a new destination, but a new level of hospitality and something that London has not seen before.
“We chose Auberge Resorts Collection for the brand’s unrivalled spirit of intention – to provide a distinct and unparalleled luxury hospitality experience.”
Later this year, Auberge Resorts Collection will open Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection in Florence, Italy. The brand is also soon set to unveil properties in new urban locations including Miami, Dallas and San Francisco.
