Japan tourist board relaunches UK trade website

The Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) has relaunched its UK travel trade website to keep agents up to date with developments in the destination.

Tough Covid-19 restrictions mean that British nationals are currently not permitted to enter Japan for any purpose, other than in exceptional circumstances.

The JNTO platform features news, resources, webinars and competitions to prepare agents for when the Japanese border reopens.

Agents can keep up to date with monthly newsletters and online training; supplier information; and access a photo library to promote the destination.

The site also features up-to-date Covid-19 travel information, contacts at the JNTO London office and itinerary inspiration.

The first training webinar will be on December 15 and will feature the Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido, which is known for its mountainous landscapes.

The platform also features training giveaways including the chance to win prizes with JNTO and airline partner ANA.

Agents who complete the e-learning courses can win prizes such as Kabuki skin care face masks to £50 John Lewis vouchers.
