Fred Holidays Rail Journeys has launched a luxury Swiss holiday package aimed at vintage rail enthusiasts.

Called the Vintage Trains of Switzerland Luxury Package, the seven-day itinerary combines five-star luxury accommodation and rail journeys on the Glacier Pullman Express and the Golden Pass, with first class rail travel throughout.

It includes return flights to Geneva, and accommodation in Montreux, Zermatt, Andermatt and St Moritz.

There is an optional excursion on the Gornergrat railway for views of the Matterhorn mountain.

There are two departures, on June 23 and July 14, with prices from £3,699.

The operator has a wide range of rail holidays in its brochure of tailor-made train trips, which features options across Europe, North America, Africa, India, Australia and Russia, plus a selection of rail-and-sail itineraries.
