La Dolce Vita Orient Express is now taking bookings.
The luxury train will operate eight one and two-night itineraries across Italy from spring 2025, including stops in Venice, Rome and Sicily.
The launch follows the restoration of 17 original Orient Express cars from the 1920s and 1930s. The 12-carriage train has 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites and one La Dolce Vita Suite, and will carry a maximum of 62 passengers per journey.
It has also been confirmed that onboard food will be overseen by Heinz Beck of Michelin-starred restaurants La Pergola, Café Les Pailotes and Heinz Beck Seasons at Castello di Fighine, and the local wines served will be selected by wine exhibitor Vinitaly.
La Dolce Vita’s general manager, Samy Ghachem, said: “It’s a privilege to join La Dolce Vita Orient Express at this key period in the revival of the iconic Orient Express brand and the launch of Italy’s first foray into luxury rail hospitality.
“La Dolce Vita Orient Express is set to offer an inimitable take on luxury rail travel, reigniting a bygone era through a contemporary lens, Italian style.”
The launch of the train follows the announcement of the first Orient Express hotels, Orient Express La Minerva in Rome and Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice.
A one-night journey on board La Dolce Vita Orient Express starts from €3,500 per person in a deluxe cabin and €4,700 per person in a suite.
