Fairmont opens second property in Morocco

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened its second property in Morrocco.

Fairmont Taghazout Bay is situated along 18 hectares of beachfront land in the bay of Taghazout, well known for its sandy beaches, clear waters and vibrant sunsets in the region of Agadir.

The property features 127 rooms, 15 suites and four villas, each with views of the Atlantic Ocean, as well as four restaurants, two themed bars and a tea lounge with panoramic views of the Atlantic coast.

Dining options include The Commons, home to modern gastronomy with nomadic concepts; surf and turf restaurant Beef & Reef; Jazz bar Nola; and a signature Japanese restaurant.

The property’s Fairmont Spa features a traditional hammam, a magnesium swimming pool and an array of treatments; while the Fairmont Fit programme offers access to the hotel’s fitness facilities, yoga studio and sports equipment.

For families, the Hangout Teen Club is home to various outdoor sports activities such as surfing and football, while the Fun 4 Kids Club offers an indoor/outdoor space with a dedicated swimming pool for younger guests.

A statement from parent company Accor said the resort’s architecture had been inspired by Amazigh culture “to create a space of well-being by the ocean, ideal for welcoming guests to a sensory journey in the heart of nature.”

Fairmont has a worldwide portfolio of more than 80 hotels, including The Plaza in New York City, The Savoy in London, Fairmont San Francisco, Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai.
