Silversea’s Erin Johnson to join Travelopia

Silversea's UK marketing director is to leave the luxury cruise line after three years in the role to become marketing director for the tailor made holidays division of Travelopia.

Erin Johnson, who will be reporting into commercial and brand director Helen Adamson, will start in her new role on March 2. 

Commenting on her new appointment, Johnson said: “I have really enjoyed my time with Silversea. Joining Travelopia, in the exciting sector of tailor made travel, at such a pivotal time for the business will be a new challenge for me and I look forward to driving the experiential brands of Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia, Sovereign and Austravel forward.”

Adamson added: “We’re delighted Erin is joining Travelopia’s tailor made team.

Erin is well-respected and well-known and has a proven track record in delivering successful marketing strategies that engage both the trade and consumer markets.

“As we strive forward in delivering experiential tailormade experiences, Erin’s strong trade credentials will help drive the key brands of Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia, Sovereign and Austravel forward by creating impactful marketing campaigns that deliver engagement and results.”

Silversea UK & Ireland managing director Peter Shanks said: “We would like to thank Erin for her terrific contribution to Silversea over the last three years and we wish her well with her new role. We are actively recruiting for a new UK & Ireland Marketing Director.”

Travelopia is owned by private equity firm KKR, following its disposal by Tui, when it was known as the Specialist Holidays Group. It is run by CEO Andy Duncan who joined Travelopia from Camelot, and formerly worked for Channel 4.
