Domes Resorts opens first hotel on Greek island of Mykonos

Domes Resorts is set to open its first hotel on the Greek island of Mykonos on July 6.

Adult-only Domes Noruz Mykonos is set above the coastline in Agios Stefanos, a 10-minute drive from the heart of Mykonos.

The property features 38 suites, with accommodation options including suites with terraces, sea views and private pools.

At the heart of the hotel is a main pool area home to “vibrant” music and views of the Aegean Sea.

There’s also a Soma Spa which combines modern techniques with ancient Greek rituals.

The resort offers three food and beverage venues, including signature Domes restaurant Topos, which specialises in neo-Greek cuisine; Raw Gastro Bar, which offers champagne, cocktails and raw bar snacks including ceviche; and cocktail venue The N Bar.

Interiors feature a mixture of white-washed and earthy tones, with elements of rattan, natural wood, fresh fabrics and cool stone.

The hotel runs a daily schedule of events including sunset DJ sessions, live music and mixology shows. Out of resort, the hotel’s concierge team can secure tables at upscale beach clubs and restaurants and arrange shopping excursions.

A statement from Domes Resorts said its Noruz concept was “a celebration of the finer things in life…merging stunning coastal landscapes with an electric atmosphere”.

Domes Resorts chief executive George P. Spanos said: “We are thrilled to bring Domes’ signature hospitality to the island of Mykonos in a valuable partnership with Bain Capital.

“This newly constructed hotel allows guests to unlock the best the island has to offer and enjoy more of our brand-wide experiences in a new destination. As we proudly open our third Noruz property, we eagerly await the joy and memories our guests will create at Domes Noruz Mykonos.”.

The news comes shortly after the unveiling of Domes’ first Reserve property, Domes White Coast Milos, and its expansion into mainland Greece, following the opening of Domes Noruz Kassandra in Halkidiki in April 2023.

The wider portfolio features properties in Corfu, Crete, Zakynthos and Portugal. Domes said further launches in new locations would come “later this year”.
