Designer Travel hosts inaugural wedding academy in Cyprus

Homeworking agency Designer Travel hosted its first wedding academy in Paphos, Cyprus, this week.

A total of 18 agents travelled to the wedding and honeymoon ‘hotspot’ to learn more about the sector from tour operators, hoteliers and wedding specialists.

The three-day programme included business sessions, tours of wedding venues and excursions popular with wedding and honeymoon guests.

The aim was to give the prospective wedding and honeymoon specialists information, advice and a detailed plan to boost sales in the sector and grow their travel business.

Agents who attended will continue to receive support over the next 12 months to help them deliver against their development plans.

The trip was hosted by Designer Travel’s head of commercial Darren Bien alongside Di Victory, the company’s new business development and social media manager, and business development manager Beth Palmer.

Bien said: “We are so excited about this new venture. Six months planning have now culminated in a really exciting launch trip and Beth, Di and I look forward to helping the associates fulfil their dream of building a really strong wedding and honeymoon arm to their business over the next twelve months.”
