Cunard to return to South America for first time in five years

Cunard will return to South America in 2025 for the first time since before the pandemic.

The line has designed a 78-night roundtrip itinerary from Southampton departing in January 2025 on Queen Victoria.

The ship will sail to Brazil, Chile and Ecuador calling at destinations including Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Patagonia, Callao and Salvador.

Shore excursions include surfing in Buzios, trekking to the Emerald Lake in Chile, taking a helicopter ride in Buenos Aires, visiting a penguin colony in Punta Tombo and a wine tasting tour in San Antonio.

Prices start from £13,499 based on two people sharing a Britannia Balcony stateroom.

Tom Mahoney, director of UK sales, said: “We look forward to working with our trade partners as we return to South America for the first time in five years.

“Not only will guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the continent’s unique combination of history, culture, and natural beauty, but they will also experience 78 nights of our iconic white star service and unrivalled onboard entertainment programme.

“We are also incredibly excited to work with partners that specialise in tailormade packages.”
