Covid test firm offers agents free tool to check travel rules

Cignpost ExpressTest has unveiled a free online tool to help travel agents find real-time information about entry requirements for overseas holiday destinations.

It said it is the first UK Covid testing company to offer such a service.

The portal offers a summary of any tests and documentation their customers must complete before their arrival, based on their travel date and vaccination status.

Nick Markham, co-founder at Cignpost ExpressTest, said: “While the UK has dropped arrivals testing for those who are fully vaccinated, more than 80 countries across the world still require travellers to complete negative tests before their trip.

“These include favourite holiday destinations such as Italy, the US, many Caribbean islands and Australia.

“And with even more regulations in place for those who are not fully vaccinated, including older children, the rules are mind-boggling with different tests, timescales, age limits, documentation and isolation requirements depending on your destination.”

The service is powered by Sherpa, a global provider of travel rules and documentation.

Max Tremaine, co-founder and chief executive at Sherpa, added: “2022 is the year that many of us are getting back to travelling internationally. But holidaymakers should be aware that the travel experience has changed over the past two years.

“This partnership helps UK holidaymakers to be fully prepared for any testing and documentation that applies to their trip.”
