Celebrity Cruises expands and reorganises sales team

o expand and restructure its sales team.


The cruise line is recruiting for two new regional sales manager roles as it eyes growth following the launch of new ship Celebrity Edge and the forthcoming launch of Celebrity Apex in Southampton in 2020.


One of the new sales roles will cover the south east and the other will cover Scotland and Ireland.The line has promoted regional sales managers Mandy Burrie and Jonny Peat to strategic manager retail north and business development manager respectively.


Strategic account manager Zoe Edwards takes on a new role as strategic account manager retail south region.


Burrie will also look after the Travel Network Group (TTNG) and Advantage Travel Partnership, and Edwards will look after Thomas Cook as part of the restructure.


Peat’s role will focus on identifying and nurturing new partners.Regional sales manager for the south-west, Neil Davies, will look after Tui.


All regional sales managers will report to either Edwards or Burrie, depending on their geographical location. They will in turn report to head of sales, Nicola McNeish.


The new sales team structure comes into effect on March 1.


Former strategic account manager, Bhavneeta Taylor, who oversaw luxury, consortium and new opportunities, left Celebrity in November.


Director of sales Claire Stirrup said: “We have got a massive opportunity for our business following the launch of Celebrity Edge [in November 2018].


“I need to make sure that from our team point of view that we put ourselves in the best possible position.


”Celebrity Edge will offer a full season of sailings in the eastern Mediterranean and Adriatic in summer 2020.


"Edge will join sister ship Apex, and four other Celebrity vessels – Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Infinity in Europe for the season.


“I think it is really exciting that we are taking the team forward,” Stirrup said. “We have been working on the structure of the team continually throughout 2018.
