Celebrity Cruises unveils wellness offering on Celebrity Beyond
Celebrity Cruises’ next Edge-series ship will feature the first F45 studio at sea, in-room fitness menus and a new Woman in Wellness programme as part of the line’s enhanced wellness offering.
Celebrity Beyond’s Aquaclass staterooms will be dedicated to wellbeing, featuring private balconies, eXhale bedding, a personal spa concierge and complimentary dining at ‘clean cuisine’ restaurant Blu.
The line has also introduced Aquaclass Sky Suites on Celebrity Beyond offering guests access to The Retreat, the exclusive onboard area for suite passengers which has been significantly expanded.
New in-room fitness menus in Aquaclass staterooms and suites will allow guests to customise their own amenities, with themes including yoga, meditation, strength, stretch and cardio.
The menus were curated in partnership with lifestyle brand goop, whose founder Gwyneth Paltrow was recently revealed as the line’s new ‘wellbeing advisor’.
Celebrity Beyond’s spa area was designed by Kelly Hoppen and will feature eight distinct areas including a salon, barber and fitness centre.
The spa will feature a sea thermal suite; a ‘crystalarium’ and over 120 destination-inspired treatments and services.
An expanded fitness studio will offer new wellness programmes, including the first at-sea programming from functional training gym brand, F45 Training, for high-intensity group workouts.
There will also be programmes from Peloton and Soulcycle, yoga classes and a recovery lounge featuring dynamic air compression technology.
Celebrity Beyond will also offer a Women in Wellness programme featuring a panel of brand ambassadors, who have helped shape the ship's wellness offering.
The panel includes Morgan Mitchell, olympian and F45 training athlete; Katie Brauer, founder and chief executive of The Yoga Professional; Noella Gabriel, co-founder and global president of Elemis; Kimberly Snyder, best-selling author and founder of lifestyle brand Solluna; and Ruth Zukerman, co-founder of SoulCycle and Flywheel Sports.
“Now more than ever wellness is top of mind for our guests so [when we were] designing Celebrity Beyond, we really thought about how we weave in wellness throughout the guest experience,” said Brian Abel, senior vice president of hotel operationsat Celebrity Cruises.
“You'll see it through the staterooms, through our culinary options, our shore excursions and then, of course, in our fitness centre and spa.”
Celebrity Cruises’ president and chief executive, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, added: “As we looked at how the interest in wellness was growing over time, and thought about what we were hoping people would get from their vacation with us, wellness just rose to the very top.”
Celebrity Beyond will sail its maiden voyage from Southampton in late April next year.
The ship will be based in the Mediterranean for the summer before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale for its first Caribbean sailing on October 25, 2022.
