Fosun Tourism Group-owned boutique hotel brand Casa Cook will open a new property on the Greek island of Mykonos in June 2022.
Adult-only Casa Cook Mykonos is located above Ornos Bay with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.
The hotel features 26 rooms and is reportedly the brand’s “most intimate” hotel to date.
The property is based around a central swimming pool with oversized pergolas and an outdoor restaurant called Ble, which also features a private dining room overlooking the rest of the hotel.
The restaurant, named after the Greek word for blue, will serve Greek cuisine and international classics with a focus on fresh, local produce.
A bar will serve premium spirits, fresh juices, mocktails and signature cocktails, while a private cellar will offer guests their pick of wines.
Other facilities at the hotel include a gym and yoga studio, offering private and group glasses, and a wellness centre complete with a hair and nail salon.
The hotel’s architecture is said to mimic the island’s traditional villages and cuboid houses. All suites feature a colour palette of bleached whites, blues, browns and greens alongside hand-woven fabrics and linens. Interiors also feature traditional Greek art by local artist Alexandra Pisa.
Alessandro Dassi, vice president of the Fosun Tourism Group, said: “The island of Mykonos, with its blend of traditional charm and modern vibe, is the perfect fit for the Casa Cook brand. Through our holistic approach to minimalist design and laid-back luxury style, Casa Cook Mykonos will bring a new definition of luxury to one of the world’s most glamorous destinations.”
Gavriil Karathomas, chief executive of hotel partner More Meni Boutique Hotels Group, added: “We are thrilled to partner with the Casa Cook brand to create a one-of-a-kind hotel on the incredible island of Mykonos. With this project, we wanted to bring a totally new and fresh take on the luxury lifestyle that this island is so well known for, and for us the Casa Cook brand was the perfect match.”
Casa Cook launched in May 2016 with the opening of its first hotel, Casa Cook Rhodes in Greece. It was acquired by Fosun Tourism Group in December 2019 and under this new ownership the Casa Cook brand launched properties in El Gouna and North Coast Egypt in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
