Baglioni Resort Maldives reopens with new pool villas

Baglioni Resort Maldives will unveil a collection of new beachside pool villas when it reopens on July 10 following an extensive refurbishment.

The property in the Dhaalu Atoll, a 40-minute seaplane from Male, now features 88 refurbished villas designed in Italian style using materials and methods to minimise environmental impact.

The resort is also home to three signature restaurants, a freshwater swimming pool, a spa, a gym and a kids’ club for children aged three to 12.

Dining options include Gusto, home to authentic Italian cuisine; Japanese eatery Umami and Taste, a modern beachside restaurant serving a continental and Asian buffet.

Baglioni Resort Maldives has partnered with a number of Italian brands for its reopening, including Frette, which provides handmade bed linen and bath towels; beachwear brand MC2 Saint Barth; and Insìum, which offers innovative anti-ageing cosmetics.

The resort features a range of activities and water sports including pedalos, windsurfing, kayaking and snorkelling with full equipment provided. A Padi dive centre also offers a gateway to a number of dive sites, with daytime, sunset and night time excursions available.

Personalised experiences such as sunset and moonlit private cruises can also be arranged.

Baglioni Resort Maldives is the third resort in the Baglioni Hotel and Resort Collection, sitting alongside properties in Punta Ala in the Maldives and the new Baglioni Resort Sardinia.

The portfolio also comprises six hotels in key European cities.
