Azamara releases 2024 European programme

Azamara has unveiled its European programme for 2024, featuring 84 itineraries including 53 ‘Country Intensive’ voyages, and 15 golf-focused sailings.

More than 50% of port calls in these ‘Country Intensive’ voyages are late night or overnight, meaning passengers have more time to “dive deeper” into the local culture, the line said.

Italian port Taranto is a maiden port of call for the cruise line, which has also released an expanded programme of golf sailings in partnership with tour operator Perry Golf.

The golf voyages are available to book include a 12-night British Isles Intensive Golf Voyage & The 152nd Open at Royal Troon and a 12-night South Africa Intensive Voyage.

The 12-night British Isles Intensive Golf Voyage departs from Dublin and ends in Edinburgh. It features city experiences in Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow and Dundee.

Passengers can play golf at venues such as Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Royal Dornoch, Royal County Down and Royal Portrush. They will also have the chance to attend the final two days of The 152nd Open at Royal Troon with PerryGolf.

Passengers sailing on Azamara Pursuit’s 12-night South Africa Intensive Voyage can play five rounds of golf at East London Golf Club, Eastern Cape; and Pearl Valley, Paarl.

The golf itinerary programme also includes sailings with ports of call in New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. All sailings in the entire programme are now on sale.

Azamara is set to launch a video series – called Lens of a Local – giving customers the chance to see what excursions can be experienced on one of the line’s voyages.

The episodes will air on Azamara’s social channels and be released on September 9; September 23; and October 7.

President Carol Cabezas said: “Our Country Intensive voyages have continually proven to be a guest favourite with increased bookings throughout 2022.

“We are pleased to offer even more options for our guests to discover all these incredible European countries have to offer.

“With unique new ports and plenty of late stays and overnights, we encourage guests to explore each destination at their own pace and travel off the beaten path.”
