Additional spaces have become available at Clia’s annual conference in May after a new ship joined the line-up.
The conference, which will take place in Southampton from May 23-25, sold out in a “record-breaking” 48 hours and was scheduled to have six ships in attendance: Cunard’s Queen Anne, Silversea’s Silver Dawn, Princess Cruises’ Sky Princess, MSC Virtuosa, P&O Cruises’ Iona and Fred Olsen’s Borealis.
Now, P&O Cruises has added Britannia to the schedule, meaning more spaces are available.
Roughly 850 delegates are expected to attend the conference, making it the biggest in the association’s history.
Andy Harmer, managing director for the UK & Ireland, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer yet more places to the trade for our biggest-ever Clia conference. I’m particularly grateful to P&O Cruises for adding the stunning Britannia to our cruise ship line-up, meaning delegates have a wealth of onboard options to experience and explore.
“The Clia conference offers delegates the ideal opportunity to engage with operators from all sectors of the industry and we can’t wait for a record-breaking number of agents to join us.
“The cruise industry has had an incredibly positive start to the year and we’re looking forward to maintaining that momentum in the run-up to the conference. We can then give agents even more reasons to sell cruise, and will provide the insight and expertise to showcase everything their customers will love about a holiday at sea.”
