Aspire team expands to five to support growth plans

Aspire has expanded its team with three new recruits as it looks to further enhance its offerings for the luxury travel sector. The Jacobs Media Group brand is increasing its print output, with this edition marking the first of six magazines this year.

The events portfolio is also set to increase in 2024 with more Aspire Escapes plotted and an additional Retreat scheduled. To support the growth, Aspire has recruited three people for newly created roles, boosting the team from two to five. Isobel Turner takes up the role of features writer. She joins from sister title Travel Weekly where she has worked as special projects writer since joining the company in April last year.

Charlotte Brook has joined as junior content writer, having most recently worked for business education publication BusinessBecause. And for the first time in its 14-year history, Aspire will have a dedicated commercial head, with Toni Austin taking up the role of Aspire business development manager. Toni brings with her many years of travel industry experience, having previously worked for Virgin Atlantic, Tui and Kuoni.

The trio of appointments follow the promotion last year of Erica Rich to deputy editor. Editor Hollie-Rae Brader said: “I’m so pleased to have a team of five working solely for Aspire – a clear sign of the strength of the brand. We have big plans for this year and beyond and I’m really excited for what we have to come.”
