Aspire agents are being invited to a seminar dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the luxury tourism industry.
Consumer magazine OutThere is hosting Icons of Inclusion on March 18, aiming to showcase best practices and highlight the benefits of improved inclusion in the travel sector.
The event, held at The Dorchester in London, will look at a range of diversity dimensions such as race, LGBTQIA+, women, age, Indigenous tourism, accessibility and more.
Speakers include Aisha Shaibu-Lenoir, founder of Moonlight Experiences; Ian Callen, director of Go Beyond Holidays; chef Michael Caines MBE; Shelly Voecks, chief people officer at Scott Dunn; Vincent Jones, co-founder of the Black Luxury Travel Network; and Max Siegel, director of Trans&.
Uwern Jong, editor-in-chief of OutThere (pictured), said attending the event would help delegates maximise the full potential of diverse travellers and make inclusion part of their organisation’s culture, as well as build know-how and best practice and forge relationships with leaders in the sector.
“There is a desperate need for education in this field, which is why at Icons of Inclusion we will highlight these subjects with expert speakers,” he said.
“The bonus? It’s free for the travel trade to attend and learn about how you can succeed in this sector.”
Sponsors of the event include Scott Dunn, The Dorchester Collection and Visit Malta. Aspire is the event’s trade media partner and agent readers can request free tickets to the event at: iconsofinclusion.com
