Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority to host trade webinar on sustainability

Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority is to host its first virtual webinar on sustainable tourism for the UK travel trade on April 20.

The tourist board said the event would educate agents and operators on selling the twin-island nation as a safe and sustainable holiday destination.

Antigua and Barbuda has implanted a number of green initiatives, such as banning single-use plastic and establishing a ‘green corridor’ of environmentally friendly businesses.

It was named the Emerging Sustainable Destination of the Year 2020 at Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel Awards 2019.

To participate in the webinar, travel agents and tour operators should register their interest at: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_JaDnuWF3QhG2N7W9rOtE5Q
