Aman has recruited hospitality veteran Ben Trodd as chief operating officer.
A statement from the hotel group said Trodd will oversee “all facets” of Aman’s hotel and resort operations to deliver the brand’s vision and strategy and ensure the brand’s “unique characteristics and exceptional levels of service” are retained.
Trodd commences the role today (July 11) and will be based at Aman’s Swiss office, reporting directly into chairman and chief executive Vlad Doronin.
Trodd has more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Aman he was vice president of sales and hotel marketing at Four Seasons, where he implemented a range of data and analysis-driven marketing initiatives.
Having previously served as regional vice president and general manager of the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, Trodd also oversaw nine additional Four Seasons properties.
Prior to that, he played a crucial role in opening Four Seasons Hotels and Residences in Seattle and Palo Alto and led operations for the brand in Los Angeles and Hampshire in the UK.
Trodd said: “Aman is a brand that I have long admired and respected. The exceptional achievements in setting industry benchmarks for guest experience, employee value proposition, brand loyalty, and strong commercial acumen present a strong foundation to further propel growth and success.”
