Travel agency boss Andrew Earle has set up a support team to help 123 homeworkers and customers affected by the apparent closure of Luxury Holidays and Honeymoons Limited.

The agency appears to have stopped trading and Travel Weekly has been unable to contact director Charlotte Davies.

Its website at luxuryholidaysandhoneymoons.co.uk is now blank apart from a message saying the site has expired.

Andrew Earle, the owner of agencies in the Hull area, said he “severed” his relationship with Luxury Holidays and Honeymoons Limited when he became concerned about how the business was trading and issues with commissions due to be paid to associated homeworkers.

He has taken control of 740 forward bookings and all customers have been advised of a new trading name: Luxe Holidays.

He told Travel Weekly: “I have a support team in place to look after contact with customers and am working with the affected homeworkers in this process too. Importantly, all customers with confirmed bookings are unaffected and customer funds are safe.”

The large majority of affected homeworkers have now found a new home with various other homeworking companies, he added.

The holidays booked under Luxury Holidays and Honeymoons Limited before November 15 were protected by Earle’s membership of the Midcounties consortium.

Travel Weekly has tried to contact Charlotte Davies but has been unable to reach her. She is listed on the agency’s Companies House entry as the sole company director.

The overview for Luxury Holidays and Honeymoons on Companies House also highlights the fact that the firm’s confirmation statement is overdue. The last confirmation statement was dated December 6, 2022, so the next one was due by December 20, 2023.
