Air Mauritius will move its operations from Heathrow to Gatwick from October 29.

The airline will boost its current five weekly flights to a daily service departing Gatwick at 3.55pm and using Airbus A350-900 and A330-900neo aircraft.

Air Mauritius will celebrate 50 years of operations in the UK in November.

Chief executive Krešimir Kučko said: “London has always been a high-priority destination for us and as part of the commemoration of Air Mauritius’ 50 years of operations to the United Kingdom, we are proud to announce daily operations to Gatwick from October 29 this year.

“We are confident that this new service will further strengthen our relationship with valued customers from the UK and the connecting markets.”
