VistaJet reports record increase in new subscription members

Global business aviation company VistaJet saw a 29% increase in new subscription members year-on-year – the fastest rate since the company’s foundation in 2004.

A 2021 market update from parent company Vista Global also reported a record-breaking year for VistaJet’s On Demand services, with an acceleration in bookings of 15%.

XO, the group’s On Demand technology platform, also benefitted from a surge of new members, with membership up 240% in 2020.

Global flight levels during 2020 remained healthy despite the challenging conditions, Vista Global said, reported record flight hours last year – up 6% year-on-year.

The company said the pandemic had demonstrated the clear demand for business aviation as a safer and more reliable alternative to commercial flying, and said it expects to see a continuation in demand from both corporate and first-time fliers.

“We are entering 2021 with optimism and grounded positivity following the unprecedented events of 2020,” said Thomas Flohr, Vista Global founder and chairman.
“It is a pivotal and exciting time in our sector and I am extremely aware of the critical, growing role private aviation will play as part of the global economy for years to come.”

VistaJet offers customers access to its fleet of over 70 business jets on a ‘pay for hours flown’ fare structure.
