US exchange rate sparks optimism at Seasons
The pound reached a 16-month high against the dollar last week - worth 10% more than this time last year and 25% more than two years ago.
Product manager for North America Julianne Howarth said: “2011 is proving a bumper year for Seasons’ US sales, and we’ve noticed an increase in enquiries across the board.
“The improved exchange rate actually coincides with the expansion of our programme in the States, so we have double the reason to sell holidays to the US.
“Usual favourites New York and California are still our biggest sellers, but we’re also seeing bookings for lesser known regions such as Arizona and Montana.”
