Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is running a flash sale to coincide with the leap year.

On each of February 21 and 26, the line will release a batch of 10 European cruises available with a two-for-one discount. Customers will then have until February 29 to book their sailing, pending availability.

Included in the sale is the line’s Brilliant Bordeaux voyage, starting at £1,999; Venice and the Gems of Northern Italy, costing from £1,999; and Enchanting Danube, leading in at £2,249.

President and chief executive Ellen Bettridge said: “A leap year is returning to our calendars for the first time in four years and to celebrate this rare occurrence, we’re offering an equally rare savings opportunity to our guests.

“We want to encourage travellers to seize the (extra) day and book those bucket list trips for spring and summer.

“This sale gives guests, both brand new and repeat, the opportunity to experience a quintessential Uniworld sailing at a price point that only comes around every few years.”
