Launch supported by marketing material and events for agents
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has launched its first standalone brochure showcasing itineraries that combine luxury river cruises with rail travel.
Called The World’s Greatest River and Rail Journeys, the brochure features trips with luxury train operators such as Golden Eagle Luxury Trains in Europe and the Maharajas’ Express in India.
The new brochure follows research indicating that 73% of Uniworld guests are interested in luxury rail travel.
Furthermore, The Travel Corporation-owned cruise line has seen longer holidays being booked and growth in its long-haul portfolio, with each long-haul trip combining luxury land and river elements.
Other new brochures launched this year – including the Ultimate European Journeys – also highlight new, longer and more immersive experiences.
Chris Townson, UK and Europe managing director, said: “We’re marketing in a totally different way, and it’s working, so we’re hoping that agents will recognise this huge opportunity.
“We have an incredibly high proportion of repeat guests who trust us with their holiday, and increasingly want to go deeper into the destinations we visit, seeing and experiencing more.
“We’re catering to that demand by adding to our collection of extraordinary rail, river and land journeys, staying in the most iconic hotels and on board the most luxurious river ships and trains in the world.
“We’re also helping our agents to adapt to this shifting mindset by providing standalone collateral and supportive, tailorable assets.
“We are running a series of events with our rail partners as guest presenters, so that agents come away with the knowledge and inspiration to sell the perfect bucket-list trip to their clients.”
The events can be dinners, afternoon teas or lunches at selected venues, hosting guests and agent partners. Uniworld also supports its agent partners by attending their consumer events.
