Travel Counsellors sets January sales records

Travel Counsellors has reported two consecutive record sales days for this current January peaks selling season.

The homeworking agency said it has surpassed £5 million in sales on two consecutive days, on Tuesday and Wednesday (January 9 and 10). Those days are two of the top-10 best sales days in the company’s history.

In January so far, Travel Counsellors agents have made 14 bookings worth more than £50,000 and 26 have achieved total sales of more than £100,000. One agent has made an £84,000 booking.

The most popular destinations are Spain, US, United Arab Emirates, Greece and the Maldives.

Heather Lee, a travel counsellor with 24 years of experience, said: “I have already achieved 50% of my last January sales in the first week, with much more on my desk.

“I did six bookings alone on Sunday (January 7).”

Jim Eastwood, global sales director at Travel Counsellors, added: “It is great to see sales figures looking strong at the start of peaks which underscores the pivotal role our community of travel entrepreneurs and support team colleagues play in meeting the heightened demand.

“Our network of over 2,000 Travel Counsellors globally have the ability to deliver exceptional service, and we look forward to continuing to create even more highly personal and enriching travel experiences for our leisure customers and corporate clients.”

The company’s peaks marketing campaign uses the slogan ‘We take care of everything’.
