The Peninsula Hotels launches new wellness offering

The Peninsula Hotels has rolled out a new wellness programme, Life Lived Best, across all ten of its properties.

The brand-wide initiative will be available from April onwards and will offer guests a “holistic experience of wellness” which address bodily, mind and nutritional wellbeing.

Guests will be able to access a range of activities, classes and menu options as well as destination-specific experiences created in partnership with local residents.

All Peninsula hotels will offer a range of physical health options for guests including delivery of in-room fitness gear; specially created video programme including exercises and stretches, available on guests’ own devices or streamed to their in-room TVs; and programme choices that let guests select goals including increased strength, boosted energy, and jet-lag relief.

Destination-specific physical health experiences will include locally curated and led fitness classes like Muay Thai at The Peninsula Bangkok and Tai Chi at The Peninsula Hong Kong; maps of local jogging and walking trails; special fitness events co-hosted by local partners; and regularly scheduled workshops and talks with visiting local fitness experts.

The Peninsula Hotels has also teamed up with meditation app Breethe to offer a host of programmes geared towards mindfulness and mental wellbeing.

Marking Breethe’s first global hotel partnership, it will offer guests a selection of Breethe content, including guided meditations, relaxing bedtime stories and soothing music available on guests’ personal devices or streamed to their in-room TVs; a special ‘Sleep Well, Wake Up Well’ aromatherapy experience; and relaxing or invigorating spa-style baths, drawn by Peninsula wellness experts in guests’ own bathrooms.

Destination-specific experiences will range from locally curated meditation and mindfulness classes to traditional local energy and healing spa treatments.

The Peninsula Hotels will also relaunch its health-conscious menu option, Naturally Peninsula, to include a new focus on plant-based cuisine. New dishes will employ locally sourced seasonal product, nutritious oils and non-refined sugars to reflect the hotel group’s commitment to sustainability.

The new plant-based Naturally Peninsula choices will be featured on all Peninsula hotels’ breakfast and buffet menus. Each individual Peninsula property will also craft its own Naturally Peninsula dining experiences and cooking classes that highlight the seasonal produce and culinary traditions of their respective locations.

The launch of Life Lived Best will include the rollout of a new Wellness Portfolio available to guests at every Peninsula property.

The platform lets guests access every wellness offering available at their hotel including in-room video fitness tutorials and guided audio meditations; schedules and bookings for in-person exercise and mindfulness classes, plant-based cooking classes, spa treatments, and wellness-themed events; and Naturally Peninsula menu choices.

The portal is available to guests whenever they are at their hotels, and viewable either on their own personal devices or streamed to their in-room TVs.

The Peninsula Hotels’ digital concierge service, PenChat, allows guests to ask questions about any aspect of their hotel’s wellness experiences 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
