Lancashire-based agency The Luxury Traveller is set to gift a two-night stay at luxury hotel Gleneagles as part of a festive giveaway launching this week.
Instead of sending her clients luxury gifts this Christmas, company director Jennifer Lonergan is asking them to nominate someone in need of a treat.
The Luxury Traveller will gift the winning individual, couple or family (of up to two adults and two children under the age of 15) a two-night stay at Gleneagles in Scotland, as well as £500 spending money to go towards transport, activities or spa treatments.
The offer can be redeemed at any time between January 1 and March 29.
Lonergan told Aspire: “This year has been a tough year for many. As a business I really want to use my platform and current success to give something back.
“Typically, we would send out Christmas gifts, however, this year, we wanted to do something a little bit different. We wanted to focus on giving back and we wanted to give our clients the opportunity to give something really special.”
She added: “I think our clients will appreciate that more than receiving a token gift. In my opinion, there's no better gift than the gift of travel because it's giving somebody an experience and a memory.”
Lonergan will launch the initiative on the agency’s quarterly newsletter today (December 8), with clients asked to submit their nominations via a form. Each entry will then be put into a random generator and Lonergan will draw the winner on Instagram Live next Thursday.
Lonergan said clients could nominate someone who has had a tough year – due to illness, caring for someone or losing a loved one – but reiterated that the offer was open to anyone who clients deemed deserved it.
“For example, clients could nominate their parents who have maybe helped out with childcare," she said.
"It might be a local hero, one of their children or somebody who's done something really special - all the little things that somebody may do for you that you want to say thank you for.”
Lonergan has also contributed £500-worth of Christmas gifts to The Salvation Army – a donation she makes every year.
