Singapore Airlines will increase its Manchester-Houston capacity back to pre-pandemic levels next year.

The service will return to five flights a week from March 31, 2024. It currently operates three times a week.

Scottish travellers flying from Aberdeen with Loganair can connect to the Manchester departures for the services to Houston.

The regional carrier, which has has 21 weekly direct services from Aberdeen to Manchester, is dovetailing its timetable to match Singapore Airlines’ schedule to offer a “seamless transfer”.

Mark Davey, Singapore Airlines’ UK and Ireland sales and marketing manager, said: “Flights to Houston are extremely popular with our Scottish customers and we’re delighted to bring the service back to pre-pandemic levels of five-weekly flights.

“Plus, with our friends at Loganair, we now offer more choice and flexibility to customers whilst strengthening our global network.”

Luke Lovegrove, Loganair’s chief commercial officer, added: “We have a tremendous working partnership with Singapore Airlines, boosting connectivity not just at Manchester but at Heathrow too, where we now have a significant presence.

“We look forward to continuing to develop our partnership with Singapore Airlines.”

Customers can make a single booking with Loganair from Aberdeen, Isle of Man, Inverness, Dundee, City of Derry and Newquay, transferring onto Singapore Airlines’ long-haul services at Manchester and Heathrow.

Using the partner network means there is protection for passengers in case of delay plus through-checked baggage to the final destination.
