Silversea releases largest-ever programme for 2023-24

Silversea Cruises has unveiled its largest-ever programme as more than 280 new sailings for 2023-24 were made available to the line’s past passengers’ group.

The collection, which runs from March 2023 to May 2024, features 690 destinations in 125 countries across every continent, plus more than 60 maiden calls.

Sailings will go on general sale on August 11. Currently, only members of the line’s Venetian Society can book.

Until November 30 this year, passengers can reserve a cabin with a reduced 15% deposit.

The programme includes 38 voyages in northern Europe. A 14-day Northern Europe & British Isles cruise, departing from Southampton on June 22, 2023, calls at Edinburgh plus several ports in Norway and Iceland.

Silver Cloud will make a maiden call to the island of Colonsay in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides during the sailings.

Also in the programme are 18 voyages in Africa and the Indian Ocean, including new Arabian Peninsula sailings, and 36 Mediterranean sailings operated by four of the line’s ships as part of an extended southern European season.

The 13-day Africa & Indian Ocean cruise, departing from Muscat, Oman, to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starts from £9,300.

The programme also features the line’s first summer sailings in Canada and New England from August to October 2023, including calls to Quebec, Montreal and Boston.

There are also 12 expedition sailings to the Arctic and Greenland, with a 24-day crossing of the Northwest Passage, in the summer of 2023 and 17 departures for Antarctica, running from November 2023 to March 2024.

Prices for the 12-day Arctic & Greenland cruise, starting from Reykjavik on June 30, 2023, and sailing to Longyearbyen in Norway’s Svalbard archipelago, lead in from £10,900 with flights included.

The line has also created more than 60 ‘combination cruises’ which combine two or more sailings to make a longer itinerary.

The programme also features two Grand Voyages, which the line said had been introduced due to customer demand.

These are a 65-day Grand Mediterranean 2023 voyage from Lisbon to Athens and, in 2024, a Grand Africa & Arabia voyage, lasting 62 days, along the east coast of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, calling at 28 destinations.

Roberto Martinoli, Silversea’s president and chief executive, said: “Responding to strong guest demand for a broad range of far-flung destinations, our new 2023-2024 itineraries will offer guests even more opportunities to discover the world’s most enriching experiences in all seven continents.”
