Seven Seas Mariner to get $125m revamp

Seas Cruises will send its Seven Seas Mariner ship to dry dock for a $125 million bow-to-stern refurbishment this April.

Following the 20-day dry dock in Marseille, Seven Seas Mariner will sail itineraries in Alaska in May.

In a statement, the luxury line said the ship would come back in to service with “elegant new suite designs” and “completely renewed modern guest spaces”.

The pool deck will be redesigned, with a new ‘open layout’ and teak flooring.

The ship’s atrium, corridors and guest spaces will be fitted with new carpets, art, furniture and décor.

Regent’s new Chartreuse speciality French restaurant will be installed during the ship’s refurbishment.

The refurbished Seven Seas Mariner will sail in Alaska on 15 seven, 10 and 11-night itineraries from either Vancouver, Canada, or Seward, Alaska.

Jason Montague, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ president and chief executive, said: “We are delighted to relaunch the refurbished Seven Seas Mariner for what will be an unforgettable 2018 Alaska season.”

He added that the ship will “have been elevated to the highest standards of elegance
