Rocco Forte Hotels to operate new luxury resort in Sardinia

Rocco Forte Hotels has confirmed plans to operate a new luxury resort in the Costa Smeralda region of Sardinia.

The new resort is being jointly developed, with hotel asset management and advisory firm Eidos Hotel Capital Partners acting as an operating partner and asset manager for global investment firm Sixth Street, which acquired the property in January 2022.

Formerly known as Hotel Le Palme, the property is located in Liscia di Vacca, a bay two miles northwest of the seaside resort of Porto Cervo.

The hotel is currently being redeveloped and will reopen in 2024. Once complete, it will feature 64 rooms and suites, a state-of-the-art spa, three restaurants, a panoramic rooftop bar and meeting and event space.

Rocco Forte said natural materials, local craftsmanship and ESG principles would be core values of the development.

The property will complement Rocco Forte’s existing portfolio of Italian hotels in Rome, Florence, Sicily and Puglia, as well as The Carlton Milano and Rocco Forte House, set to open in Milan in 2024.

Costa Smeralda is a stretch of coastline between the bay of Arzachena and the Gulf of Cugnana in the north of Sardinia and is one of the destination’s best-known areas.
