Reservations open for Rosewood’s first German property

The first German property to open under Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is now taking reservations for stays from September 29, 2023.

Located in Kardinal-Faulhaber-Straße in the heart of Munich’s Old Town, Rosewood Munich is housed in two landmark buildings which were formerly the headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the grand aristocratic residence Palais Neuhaus-Preysing.

Guests will have access to sights including the famous Marienplatz and the shops of Maximilianstraße and Theatinerstraße.

A renovation has seen historic areas of the building, like the central courtyard, restored. The entrance hall of the hotel is original to the former bank building and has had its vaulted ceilings and frescos carefully preserved.

The property features 73 guestrooms, 59 suites and five ‘houses’, each of which boasts bespoke furnishings and views of the city or the hotel courtyard.

Food and beverage venues include an alpine-inspired brasserie, Cuvilliés, which will serve classic alpine dishes with a modern twist across breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will also be Bar Montez, for hand-crafted signature cocktails and live music, and a lobby lounge.

Rosewood Munich will also house a full-service Asaya spa spread over two floors, featuring six treatment rooms as well as an indoor vitality pool, two saunas, one steam room, a wellness suite for private spa experiences and a round-the-clock fitness centre equipped by Technogym. Spa memberships will also be on offer to local residents.

Rosewood Munich’s managing director Roland Duerr said: “We are eager to welcome guests to Rosewood Munich this fall. Our sublime setting, within these two magnificent buildings situated in the centre of the city, provides the perfect canvas for Rosewood’s guiding A Sense of Place philosophy. We look forward to contributing to the rich culture and hospitality of this vibrant community and creating unforgettable memories for our visitors from near and far.”

Rosewood Munich will mark the brand’s seventh hotel in Europe and its 32nd property worldwide.
