Regent Holidays expands Iceland options with new easyJet flights

New easyJet flights to northern Iceland have opened up fresh short break options for Regent Holidays’ new Arctic Winter 2023-24 brochure.

The easyJet service from Gatwick to Akureyri has enabled Regent to introduce a four-night North Iceland Winter fly-drive tour, which costs from £1,095 based on two sharing.

The winter collection features holidays to Iceland, Lapland, Greenland, Norway and Sweden, with departures from November 1 until March 31, 2024.

Andrea Godfrey, Regent’s brand manager and destination specialist, said: “Our new brochure is packed with winter adventure ideas and amongst our popular itineraries and brand new holidays, we’re also excited that the new easyJet flights for this winter into Akureyri, Iceland, offer new opportunities for winter short breaks too.”

Three themed packages set in and around Reykjavik have been reintroduced, each with new excursions. They offer the chance to explore lagoons and geothermal baths; mountains and glaciers; and Reykjavik’s gourmet restaurants and food trucks.

Meanwhile, a new option in Norway is the eight-night Havila Voyages Winter Northbound Cruise, taking guests from Bergen to Kirkenes, visiting fjords, crossing the Arctic Circle and sailing around the North Cape plateau.

It includes a stay in Bergen and the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes (pictured below), and costs from £2,175 based on two sharing.

The Sweden range includes a new Wellness Escape at Arctic Bath, a famous floating hotel which is frozen into position during the winter months.

There are four new 2024 dates for the popular Dog Sledding Expedition to East Greenland tour, while the Finnish itineraries feature new options on room types at the Apukka Glass Igloos Resort to cater to strong demand for this property.
