Raffles to open all-suite hotel in Macau this year

Raffles Hotels and Resorts is to open an all-suite hotel in a luxury integrated resort in Macau this year.

The 450-suite hotel will form part of Galaxy Macau, a casino resort located on the Cotai Strip housing entertainment, shopping, dining and leisure attractions.

Raffles at Galaxy Macau will be situated on the resort’s east promenade and will comprise two towers, with a connecting glass airbridge on every floor.

The brand said suites drew inspiration from a modern palazzo, with a selection featuring their own private pools and gardens. A small number of loft suites also boast double-storey windows.

All guestrooms will feature Samsung The Frame Hospitality, a multi-use canvas which can switch from art to in-room entertainment features with one click.

Hotel facilities include a private infinity edge pool, a bar and a breakfast restaurant called The Glasshouse set within a Mediterranean-inspired garden. There will also be a luxury spa and a speciality restaurant headed up by a Japanese chef.

Raffles at Galaxy Macau is scheduled to open in the second half of 2021.

It joins five other hotel brands located within the resort, including Banyan Tree, The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott, and marks the 16th property in Raffles’ portfolio.

“This collaboration with GEG [Galaxy Entertainment Group] marks an important milestone for Raffles Hotels and Resorts and creates a stunning addition to the excitement in Macau,” said Sébastien Bazin, chairman and chief executive of Raffles’ parent company, Accor.

“As a future flagship of Accor’s luxury portfolio, we are confident that Raffles at Galaxy Macau will exceed our guests’ expectations.”
