Oberoi launches second Nile boat

The Oberoi Group has announced an ultra-luxurious Nile cruiser called the Oberoi Philae.

The group’s newest addition to its portfolio features 22 cabins and suites, some of the largest on the Nile. Each room has large French doors that offer picturesque views of the Nile and its changing landscapes. The cruiser also incorporates the latest technology including high-speed Wi-Fi.

The boat will cruise between Aswan and Luxor in Egypt (and vice versa) as part of a 4-night or 6-night itinerary. It is the group’s second luxury cruiser on the river after the Oberoi Zahra and on board will be English-speaking? Egyptologists.

Cox & Kings is offering a discount of £905 per person sharing on the 10 day / 9 night Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise tour, including a 6-night sailing on the Oberoi Philae, 5-star accommodation in Cairo, and international flights from London when booked by February 29. The price has dropped from £3,595 to £2,690 per person, valid on departures up until March 6 2016.

The restaurant offers Western, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine with uninterrupted views of the Nile. On the Upper Deck, home to a temperature-controlled swimming pool, guests can enjoy lunch, light meals and snacks at the poolside restaurant.

The cruiser also features a bar and cigar lounge which is furnished with intimate tables, a dance floor and a state-of-the-art movie theatre. The 24-hour gymnasium offers views to accompany a workout, as does The Oberoi Spa..
