New head joins ITC’s sports travel arm Spectate

Jimmy Rowan has moved from Virgin Atlantic to become head of ITC Travel Group’s sports tours arm Spectate.

He moves after more than a decade with the airline when he managed commercial sports relationships including specialist TMCs covering the sector and associations representing cricket, football and golf.

The appointment follows the departure of Alex Catton in August.

Spectate runs luxury travel for fans of sports such as Formula 1, cricket, rugby, golf and tennis.

Rowan said: “Having worked in travel and aviation for more years than I care to remember, with roles that include sports travel management, business development, account management and commercial sports strategy, I am very much looking forward to engaging with clients and associations, old and new, in this exciting role.”
