Mundy Cruising reports ‘bumper’ Crystal Cruises sales

Mundy Cruising has reported “bumper sales” of the relaunched Crystal Cruises, with the agency becoming the line’s top seller in the UK.

Mundy’s GSA arm The Cruise Portfolio previously represented Crystal Cruises in the UK before the line ceased operations in 2022 and The Cruise Portfolio was wound up.

Abercrombie & Kent subsequently relaunched Crystal Cruises after acquiring the brand and buying and refurbishing its ships Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony.

Mundy Cruising managing director Edwina Lonsdale said Crystal Cruises is “back and better than ever”, adding she was “delighted” with the sales it has achieved.

As part of a try before you buy promotion, Mundy Cruising invited past guests to take a short taster cruise prior to committing to a full cruise, 68% of whom rebooked on board.

Additionally, the agency has opened World Cruise bookings for 2025 and said there are “high levels” of interest in the new Junior Crystal Penthouse categories on Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, which were installed when the ships were refurbished earlier this year.

Lonsdale said: “After the heartbreak of Crystal Cruises’ collapse in 2022, we were of course cautious about embracing the new company, but it is back and better than ever and we are delighted to have got off to a great start.”
