Kuoni parent DER Touristik hires NCL’s Europe boss to drive cruise

Kuoni parent DER Touristik Group has appointed Norwegian Cruise Lines’ managing director for EMEA, Christian Boell, to lead its cruise division.


He joins on November 1 to drive the company’s cruise business and will report in to Sören Hartmann, chief executive of DER Touristik Group.


He will be tasked with implementing a DER tourism-wide strategy for cruise sales.


Hartmann said: “DER Touristik is already one of Europe’s largest cruise operators. We want to expand this activity in the future in a targeted manner. Christian Boell knows the whole breadth of tourism. With him, the cruise business should become a driving force.”
