ski Hotel in Beijing marks the completion of the groups largest development in China – Beijing’s new Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Beijing & Yanqi Island destination.

The are now 14 hotels located on the lakeshore and on Yanqi Island, with 14,069 square metres of meeting space, a conference centre, 14 restaurants and bars, 14 spas, a private marina, and a nine-storey pagoda.

Sunrise Kempinski, which has 306 guest rooms and suites spread across 21 floors, required two years of work with more than 9,300 construction workers.

The hotel is in the heart of Yanqi Lake at the foot of the Yan Mountains, surrounded by attractions including the Mutianyu Great Wall, Hongluo Temple, Qinglong Gorge and Baiquan Mountain.

In 2014?Mutianyu Great Wall, which is a 30 minute drive away from the hotel, attracted more than 2.79 million visitors.

The hotel has nine restaurants and bars a 1,850-square metre ballroom and 12 meeting rooms, a spa, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a kids club and offers water-sports, golf and skiing.

Sunrise Kempinski’s sister hotel The Yanqu Hotel, which is next door, will be hosting Connections Luxury Asia 28-31 October 2015 supported by PATA.
