A Thai hotel has extended its dining choices by opening a private dining area in a cave.

Kata?Rocks’?new private dining room is to be used for private celebrations and corporate events and will offer the finest wines, best cheeses and premium cold cuts.

To celebrate the opening the hotel has created an interactive tasting experience with the sommelier to learn about cheese and wine.

Wines will include Fume Blanc from the Loire Valley France, Riesling from the Mosel Germany and Chateneuf du pape by the glass. All expertly paired, Kata Rocks’ Sommelier will hone in on the highlights of local Thai producers with regional cheeses such as Chiangrai Mountain, Blue de Chianrai and Goat Crottin de Chiangrai.

With more than 300 different wine labels from more than 10,000 grape varieties across the world, Kata Rocks new cave dining experience encourages guests to broaden their horizons and try something different.

The hotel is near Kata on the south west coast of Phuket. There are 34 villas on the hillside with from one to four bedrooms and all have pools.
