The Inside Travel Group has become a member of the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) amid plans to double its investment in trade relations.
The group is a B Corp-certified tour operator specialising in cultural adventure travel with two brands: InsideJapan and InsideAsia.
Gabo Quiros, UK trade manager, said the group has joined Atas as it offers an opportunity to network with agents “who share a passion for adventure travel and that are aligned with our brand ethos”.
“Travel agents have always been a very important part of Inside Travel’s history,” he said.
“Our head office is based here in the UK, where we have spent over 20 years cultivating relationships with UK-based agents.
Commenting on plans for 2024, he said more money is being spent this year on fam trips, with the team dedicated to agents, resources and training.
“We are seeking to double our investment in trade,” he said.
He said InsideJapan and InsideAsia are committed to creating “an outstanding customer experience from the first call to arrival home”.
“We offer agents total destination expertise to ensure their clients have a great time away from home and we hold ourselves accountable to high standards of service, supporting every step of our clients’ journey,” he added.
“We’ve been creating cultural adventures for the past 20 years.
“This is the ITG style of travel – pairing sightseeing with cultural experiences and a slice of everyday local life. It’s how we ‘Get Beneath the Surface’.”
He said the market to Japan is “booming”, adding: “Travel agents know us as great Japan operators.”
Claire Brighton, Atas director, commented: “It’s great news that Inside Travel Group is joining Atas.
“As Gabo says, agents who support Atas members share their passion for culture and adventure travel.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the ITG team at Atas events and hearing more about their plans for fam trips, training and other support for agents.”
