Set in a 4,200 acres estate theTimbers Resorts development will have 41 suites, more than 100 acres of vineyards, lemon and olive trees and a designated game reserve.

Once a castle home to Italian nobility dating back to the 10th century 14 of the suites will 14 of its suites will have large private gardens and terraces with floor to ceiling windows.

It will have two restaurants: fine-dining venue Ristorante Tosca will serving a range of local, Tuscan and Italian cuisine with an emphasis on homemade pasta using fresh local produce from the hotel’s gardens and extra virgin olive oil produced on the estate; and a gourmet pizzeria called Pazzia will feature a traditional wood burning pizza oven, an espresso bar and gelateria.

It will also have a spa and a wedding chapel and offer cooking, pottery and language classes as well as accepting pets up to 10kg in weight.
