GTC UK targets prospective advisors with five-city summer tour

Global Travel Collection UK (GTC UK) has announced plans to tour five UK cities this summer in a bid to target new travel advisors interested in partnering with the network.

The Internova Travel Group-owned company has a global network of 1,600 independent travel advisors, including 100 independent advisors in the UK. The business also owns luxury agency brands Colletts Travel, Protravel International, Tzell Travel Group and Scotia Travel.

GTC UK said it would be speaking to “high-touch” corporate, entertainment and leisure agents who are “looking to make the leap from employee to business owner, or who are looking for a new home to trade their business”.

Interested advisors will be able to arrange private appointments with GTC UK at five locations across Manchester, London, Brighton, Edinburgh and Bristol to find out more about the benefits of joining the business and the services the company can offer in support.

Agents will also have the opportunity to meet with advisor success managers Perry Critchell and Colin Geddes, who recently joined GTC UK to bolster business support for independent advisors.

The city dates are: June 20 at Dakota, Manchester; June 27 and 28 at Hotel Amano, London; June 29 at Brighton Harbour Hotel & Spa, Brighton; July 4 at Waldorf Astoria, Edinburgh; and July 6 at a to-be-confirmed venue in Bristol.

Director of account management, Francesca Mendola, said: “We are excited to have our team out on the road meeting with new faces. We hope to meet with the best-in-class travel advisors who are either well-established and looking for a home with robust support, or those who are thinking of making the move from employee to business owner.

“Having these types of conversations can be overwhelming and life-changing, which is why it is important for our team to be out on the road to meet with advisors in person, rather than just connecting online.

“We have significantly invested in our people, systems and technology. During these appointments, our teams will be able to demonstrate how we can best support advisors in their journey and nurture an entrepreneurial mindset.

“With our investment in people, especially the recent appointment of the Advisor Success team, we are committed to maintaining our place in the market as ‘the best home for the travel advisor’ and are excited to showcase why the best in the industry continue to join us.”
